Drawing on Butoh, "Into the Dark Unknown: Dream of a Blue Girl" a collaboration of Alenka Loesch and Holcombe Waller, is an intimate glimpse into the Blue Girl's world as she recounts the secret, guarded, private mythology of her childhood. These flowing poetic images push and pull against the accompanying mis-en-scene which constantly seeks to distill these abstract personal myths into the seemingly concrete, terse public myths captured in folk music.

Am I
Collaborating with Degenerate Art Ensemble on a new project exploring the vast territory that can be summed up by the word "Women". This project will include a series of work in progress performances throughout 2007 and 2008 with a premiere of the full work in Fall '08 at the Moore Theater in Seattle. Each work in progress performance will include chances for audience members and bystanders to become part of the work; adding ideas, thoughts, reflections, inspirations, interviews and observations. This project is both performance art and research project.

ePheMere is a butoh ritual dance for the purification of our waters...
exploring the multiple qualities of water; from it's daily necessity through the extraordinary cycles of birth, death, the feminine, eros, flow, ancestral memory, dream states and chaos. Water is conscious and remembers vibrational and morphic imprints...in this sense water is the vessel of immortality, that is if we equate immortality with memory, being remembered and thus preserved energetically in that resonance..in this way fluid is truly the passage or bridge between entry and exit or rather the door which functions as both.
